Debby Peeters is a Dutch illustrator and designer based in a small town in the south of the Netherlands.
From an early age, she knew that creativity was what made her happiest. Growing up surrounded by a variety of pets, including cats, dogs, mice, and other animals, she developed a deep sense of connection with them—seeing animals as equals rather than subjects. As a child, she drew animals almost exclusively, rarely humans.
That early fascination still shapes her work today. Debby’s bold, colorful illustrations feature imaginative, animal-inspired characters that often blur the line between human and animal. Through this visual language, she creates worlds where humans and animals are equals, inspired by how she viewed the world as a child.
Debby enjoys collaborating with purpose-driven clients and organizations that aim to make a positive impact. Creating illustrations that transform values and ideas into powerful visuals—focusing on social and environmental impact—is what she loves most!
Selected clients: Van Gogh Museum, Province of Limburg, Radboud University, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Erasmus University, Trouw, Flow Magazine.
She has collaborated with advertising agencies such as N=5, Roorda, Alfred, and Perron 9.
